David and Carol Eckman
 David Eckman, PhD, grew up in a dysfunctional family and came to the Lord as a teen. His emotions remained frozen through years of theological study and pastoring, until he finally gained a picture of how God truly loved him. Since 1988, he has been involved in extensive teaching, discipling, and counseling at Western Seminary. In 1997 he co-founded Becoming What God Intended Seminars (BWGI), which seeks to see people spiritually transformed by helping them understand who they are in Christ.
BWGI is increasingly involved in helping train Christian leaders and pastors worldwide. In partnership with various Christian organizations, BWGI provides the necessary training materials and tools to help these organizations train Christian leaders.
BWGI has partnered with EQUIP (Equipping Leaders to Reach Our World) to help them train one million Christian leaders in the 10/40 window over the next few years. This EQUIP initiative is called the Million Leaders Mandate. BWGI is providing training tools to support this initiative.
BWGI is also partnering with the Central American Theological Seminary, the largest Spanish-speaking Seminary in South America. BWGI is working with school administrative leaders to provide computer based training tools for seminary students.
BWGI also provides instructor led training and consulting for some of its partners, including Campus Crusade for Christ and CB Northwest.
Dr. Eckman and his wife, Carol, have been married for over 30 years and have two adult children.
