Beni and Maria Seican
Beni and Maria Seican are a Romanian couple, serving the Lord in Sibiu, a city of 170,000, located in central Romania. They have a seven year old son, Cristian, and a two and a half year old daughter, Teodora.
Following their training in a Bible college in Britain, where they both obtained B.A. degrees in Theological Studies, Beni and Maria returned to their home city of Sibiu in 1996 to begin serving the Lord.
A new church was planted as a part of a larger Christian ministry called the Sibiu Christian Center. The Center provides ministry and social services to the community, including a children’s nursery school, youth activities and camps, two dental surgery facilities, and social services work for orphaned children and the poor. Beni was called to be the first pastor-evangelist of the fledgling church. He and his wife Maria continue an uphill task to make this an independent biblical church. One of the main issues of the church is the lack of men in the church body. This is largely due to young families immigrating into the area in search of a higher standard of living. CPC is doing everything possible to shore up all of these efforts.
Maria coordinates a women’s ministry at Zion Baptist Church, helping and counseling women in difficulty. She also does Bible translation work for the church.
